I did some test panels before i paint my big tanks. I like the metallic turquoise/black but am afraid it will overpower the fish and make people look at the background instead of the fish LOL. Tell me what you think.

Here is side by side of the two metallic panels with flash:

Here is the black:

I bought a pair of juvies about 4 years ago and threw them in my mbuna display tank. I know serious tropheus guys like to keep them in colonies of 20 or more, and I would like to do the same with a group sometime (whever I have a spare $800.00 lying around) , but these two males have lived happily in a malawi tank for a looong time, and although they scrap the oddtime they have thrived in my tank. Rules were made to broken!

Cyathopharynx foai (Mbita) -video

I recently purchased a group of 6 at 2.5" Foai at All About Fish in Long beach CA.

They had the adults 1M/6F on display in a 110gal- male measured around 9-10" while females where only at 7".

I have them in a 20gal while I finish setting up a 60gal for them.

Enjoy-is not every day you come across Foai-specially the "yellow Chin" mbita.
