I am moving soon. All the tanks get to come, but thats where the crying comes in. I don't want to. Is there a mortality rate associated with the move or are they fairly successful? I am only moving across town, we are moving into an apartment while we prep our house for sale.

 I will probably just combine a couple tanks here, move and setup a couple there, transfer them, and continue with that cycle.

I know for sure my 3 1/2 inch johanni was in tank in it's usual corner on Thurs and I think I have seen it since then but today I noticed it wasn't there.

OK the history of tank : took out nasty Ken (kenyi) on Wed., noticed on Thurs the tank was more peaceful and the smaller johanni (not sure if it is a male hiding in female colors or is a female) was in it's usual corner. This afternoon I noticed fish was missing. I do have one dominant male johanni in tank also, he is generaly not agressive. ...

A pair of WC "Maiganos", I have got about 3 spawns from these guys over the year or so I have owned them. Very small (8-14) fry per batch, even at .5 of an inch you can see the diagnostic pattern on these guys.

[img][/img] MALE

[img][/img]Female

The male has a very nice blue tint all over when the female eggs up, alot less Aggressive than most Melanochromis, although he is far from peaceful

There is some controversy surounding the Red Top Zebra complex. Some authors have split the group into 3 or 4 species (Pyrsonotus, emmilitos, sandaracinos, thapsinogen) I don't really think that the extremely trivial differences warrant distintion as sperate species. (Small tooth count diiferences, whether or not the black bars extend into the dorsal fin etc.) What does everybody think of this? Here is a pic of my wild caught male from Naketenga Isl.

I was planning to use the 75 for my discus, to separate them from the 90 community, or they might do fine in the 55 if I only get one more maximum.

So here is my actual concern. In my 90 gallon I want to keep my JD pair, my GT soon to have a female I hope, my Convict pair, and my 2 oscars, as well maybe my salvini pair, my severum, ...

We had them in our 90 gallon tank, they were showing all kinds of signs they wanted to breed, so we made up a 20 gallon breeder tank for them. After that they were in there for about a month with no signs of wanting to breed. They have been too skittish in that tank, so we took them out, placed them back in the 90 and we took our kenyis out of the 90 gallon and put them in the 20 instead.
Northern blues have spawned at last :mrgreen:

Looking forward to seeing the fry from these.

Can't get a pic of mum as she has taken up residence under the internal filter. Initially thought I had lost her so stripped the rocks out this morning and there she was chomping a way

Here's Dad;
